I purchased this lamp just as my heart dog, my best friend and constant companion of more than 12 years, was diagnosed with cancer. We had the lamp sitting on my side table, next to where she slept by me on the couch throughout the day and evening. Though her battle was short and fierce, the aggressive nature of the cancer put us in the position of having to let her go peacefully after only 3 weeks. I’d like to think that the lamp brought her peace during her final weeks. Her urn is now in its place beside the lamp on my side table. The grief of her loss is overwhelming, but the lamp’s peaceful glow is soothing.

This is way brighter than expected. The down side is it plugs into a usb outlet. I had to buy a new lamp for my bedside just to be able to plug it in.
