The moon is a natural source of energy available to you every day. As you know, the lunar cycle has different phases, but many are unaware of the effect that it has on us. Would you Learn how to harness the natural power of the moon through regular rituals here.

New Moon - Manifesting your desires.

The new moon is the perfect time to amplify the energy behind intentions. It’s advised to spend the few days before a new moon building up ideas for things you’d like to materialize in your life.

By the time the new moon comes, you’ll have a good list to begin your ritual.
Create your spiritual altar -- bonus points if you can get direct light from the moon -- and fill it with things that boost your energy: crystals, flowers, incense, photographs, books, or anything else that works for you.

Play some soothing music, light the incense or sage, and clear the area. Cluttered spaces breed cluttered minds.

State your trust in the universe. Know deep in the soul that your intentions will become a reality.

Then open up your journal and write a maximum of 10 intentions. Feel every one of them as if you already have it - visualize it, how happy would it make you? Focus on the emotions. Once you’ve got your list, go through it and say thank you for each one as if it’s already yours.

Full Moon - Release Negativity

On the night of a full moon, head back to your sacred space, relax and light an incense stick. Start by opening yourself up to the universe and showing gratitude.

Open up your journal and this time, write down all the negative things you want to purge from your system.

Release worries, fears, doubts, anxiety, guilt or shame. Let go of any recent arguments that are still lingering in your mind.

Writing it all down is a therapeutic exercise in and on itself. Again, try to stick to a maximum of 10 so that you can hone your focus. Once finished, read through the list and let each one of them go one by one, along with all emotions attached to them. Release the past and make a vow with yourself to learn from any mistakes you’ve made. It’s a great time to forgive yourself and others, relieving you of a heavy burden.

Alternatively, you could try a different method. Follow the new moon guidelines above but add these additional steps too:

Things You’ll Need

  • 15-30 minutes
  • Your spiritual altar
  • Sage to cleanse the environment
  • A sheet of paper
  • A pen (blue is a great color for truth)
  • 1 crystal point to amplify intentions (Clear Quartz or Tiger’s Eye would be a great choice)
  • 1 tumbled stone to represent your new desires (Pick one that associates with what your goals are, for e.g: Citrine for wealth, Tourmaline for protection etc)

When you’ve finished setting your intentions, fold the paper in half twice and leave your crystal point over the top of it for the next 48 hours. This is when the moon’s energy is most potent and the crystal will help to accelerate the manifestation process. Make sure it’s somewhere safe where it won’t be disturbed.

On the following full moon, you’ll want to come back to this list and release it to the universe. To do this, burn it carefully with a candle, releasing your intentions from your mind. They are in the hands of the universe now.
